Ideation Collage

"Plexus will work with you to not only design the product right, but design the right product."

Plexus is much more than a developer of products to a defined specification. Through the process of Concept Convergence our teams seek to understand the desires and expectations of stakeholders, and then develop a well understood concept that addresses this understanding, leading to development of a clear, appropriate and agreed-upon set of system requirements. Through this flexible technique Plexus:
  • Gathers information from stakeholders in order to understand their product goals
  • Explores conceptual possibilities using diverse ideation techniques
  • Evaluates the resulting concept ideas based on mutual understanding
  • Converges to a concept with a well understood architecture

As a key component of this service, Plexus Industrial Designers aim to provide creative and innovative solutions to meet specific needs and provide a fresh input to the aesthetics, functionality and market positioning of products. At Plexus, we understand the importance of industrial design in the product development process and the value it brings to the end product.

Plexus Industrial Designers work concurrently with development engineers on product design. This ensures that the ergonomics, aesthetics, human factors, and manufacturability of a concept are considered in parallel with the functional aspects of a design to realize the optimum solution. To support these efforts, Plexus provides prototyping and model making services including CNC machining, visual foam model making, stereolithography (SLA), photo-realistic renderings and virtual prototypes.
